Discourse on the Civil Rights of the Deaf People in Making a Notary Deed

It is generally said that disabled persons do not have proper access to justice and are treated equally before the law. In Indonesia, human rights approach has been incorporated into developing laws policies for persons. However, people still face legal difficulties. This article aims discuss capacity of a deaf person perform action making deed notary in Indonesia from perspectives rights, contracts, laws. reflects research uses statutory conceptual approach. Primary materials obtained national regulations relevant international instruments, while secondary books, journal articles, website content. The findings reveal Indonesian law recognizes right with disabilities, including people, civil actions. general, can sign contract; however, there no guarantee they understand communication process deed. this context, obstacles related lack language interpreters which complicate transferring information when notarial deeds between clients, notaries, witnesses.
